Was this intentional?

I heard Speaker Nancy Pelosi on the radio today. I wasn't sure I'd heard what I thought I had, so I dug up the quote off the net. Here's what she said:

"[W]e are moving the ship of state in a New Direction, in favor of the many, not the few."

Which is strangely reminiscent of a famous quote from Spock:

“The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few … or the one.”
So, is she quoting Spock, or is there some alternate source that they're both referencing? And if she's quoting Spock, how long will it be before she's opening her statements with the current stardate?

Uh, that sounds ... good?

Next time you're at the grocery store, be sure to pick up a box of Baby Seal Crunch, a part of Kellogg's new Wild Animal Crunch series! I wonder if it's really made from Baby Seals? Or is that one of those serving suggestion things. Y'know: "Baby Seal Crunch - paired with 2 baby seals and a glass of orange juice, it's part of a balanced diet!"
It's also available in Giant Panda Crunch, Meerkat Crunch, Polar Bear Crunch and Dolphin Crunch (tuna safe) . But if you ask me, Baby Seal Crunch is best, because it stays crispy in milk, just like real baby seals. Mmmm... you can almost hear the clubs when you bite into those crispy nuggets!

Chain of Interest

So today at lunch, I was starting to hit my standard links on the web, and I noticed this odd little pic in the "Everyone's Photos" bar. It's the one at left (or maybe not exactly that one, but one like it. Intriguing, no? I pulled it up, and started looking around at the other pics of 'Maxim Northover'. There were a bunch of interesting ones... the one at right, for instance.
Well, that lead me to search for more info on the guy (it's not stalking, if you only do it on the internet, right?) eventually leading me to this website, Sensitive Materials. It's kind of an interesting concept. I'll let them describe it:
Sensitive Material is a new platform for photographers working in the medium of moving image, designed to offer work that sits in the gap between video-art and cinema an opportunity to be formally screened.
I'm mesmerized by the photos, already. I only hope that some of the submissions will be screened on the internet. I want to know more!
