Slice, the pizza blog at Serious Eats has finally done a bit on Burt's Place in Morton Grove. I have to say it's probably the best pizza I've ever had. I was fortunate enough to work within walking distance of Burt's Place (also strangely sometimes referred to as Starback), and ate there several times during my two years working in the area. The article describes the place well - carmelized crust and veggies (some will say burnt, but burnt is the destruction of flavor, caramelized just enhances the flavor), coming together to maket he tastiest pizza in the world. If you're ever looking for lunch or dinner in Morton Grove, you'll want to get pizza at Burt's. And a word of advice - eat it there, even more than most pizzas, it doesn't really travel well.
