Paternity Log - 9.1

Speaking of The Boy. Two more days, then he's off to daycare, starting Friday. We're very happy with our KinderCare location, and not really worried about him being there. But you still feel guilty. Sure, being home with the kids would be ideal (well, being home with a nanny and the kids would be ideal [actually, if I'm wishing for a nanny, let's relocate to Mazatlan for the spring and summer, hmm?]), but it just isn't going to happen from a financial standpoint. We've gone over the numbers, and we think that the overall quality of life for the kids will be better with both of us working. And that's not even factoring in the slow slide into madness experienced by whichever of us was nominated to stay home with the dingo-bait. To add to the pain of separation, The Girl will be leaving for Houston with her Christening Kumovi (basically, godparents) and their kids for a Serbian dance recital. If you care to see what they do, check out the video below. It's grainy, but you get the idea.
