Madison trip

Well, with The Girl away with her Grandparents, Great-grandparents and a pair of cousins, The Wife and I were able to get away for a weekend out of town. It was a lovely weekend. Saw a Thornton Wilder play at American players Theater in Spring Green. Saw Superman Returns. Ate Nepali food, Afghan food, and Japanese food (among others). Saw lots of great signs and interesting people on state street. Attended an art festival and visited Olbrich Botanical Gardens. Wandered around the Wisconsin Capitol Building, and shot tons of pics. And generally had a really lovely weekend... which is good, because it'll be the last weekend alone we'll have for a long, long time. Less than 1 month to baby! You didn't get to the Ale Asylum while you had a designated driver? I think I'm going tonight, I'm thirsty! I'd try their IPA for you, but I don't care for them.

Heiden makes a good point. Madison is full of brewpubs. You should have tried to stop at one. On the other hand, in your current situation, it is tough to spend quality time in a bar.

The bars here are all smoke free...that is quality time.

I know. It hurt not to go brew-pubbing, but I'd have felt like a schmuck dragging my pregnant wife around to watch me drink. We've already decided to return when drinking is an easier option.
