Don Knotts dies at 81

Sigh, we've lost another one. CNN reports that Don Knotts has died. If you're willing to sit through the ad first, they've got a neat little retrospective of his career. Sure, we all remember him as Barney Fife, or Mr. Furley, but let's not forget his movies: The Apple Dumpling Gang, Herbie Goes to Mont Carlo, The Reluctant Astronaut, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and, of course, The Incredible Mr. Limpet -- a movie that I stared at slack-jawed the first time I saw it on television in the late 70's. Mr. Limpet, we'll miss you.
