Oh geez, now I've done it. Ben, I'm sorry I missed your birthday! And it was a big one, too! I didn't even realize you were getting close to 300, and here it is. And it looks like I'm missing the party as we speak.
In honor of the 300th anniversary of Ben Franklin's birth, the Brewer's Association (headed by Charlie Papazian) has convinced a shit-load of breweries across our fair land to brew beer from the same recipe. The recipe, called Poor Richard's Ale, is the Brewer's Association's best guess at the kind of beer Ben would have quaffed while debating the need for secession from England, or of what material lightning was made.
