Grand Canyon Storm

We got hit by a massive downpour out on the west rim, where no cars are allowed. We were at least a couple of hundred yards from the nearest bus shelter when the rain hit. We were able to seek some shelter under a tree. Then, the lightning began. We were soaked and cold, and TK was crying by the time we made it to the bus shelter. Getting off the bus on the other end, it started hailing. TK got hail stuck between here toes.
Still, it was pretty cool to see a thunder storm pass over the grand canyon! I just wish I could have kept the shutter open longer, in hopes of catching some of the lightning. It was gorgeous, and the echoes of it through the canyon were heart-stopping!
