Inevitably, on St. Patrick's day you'll hear someone say "Everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day!" or something like it. I don't know about you, but I've NEVER heard anyone say "Everyone's French on Bastille Day!" Hmmm... let's see.
Irish:
  • stout (less than a buck a drink from a liquor store)
  • the best whiskey in the world (less than a buck a drink)
  • potatoes (less than a buck, and delicious baked or fried.
  • drunken red-haired women who dance like pixies

  • French:
  • snooty overpriced wine (more than $10 a drink from the wine shop)
  • runny cheese (less than a buck a serving)
  • snails and froglegs (I have no idea why anyone would even buy these, so I don't know the price)
  • angry snooty women who smoke like chimneys

  • Hmmm... hard to figure why Bastille Day isn't more popular, eh?. Bloody French. Happy Bastille Day.
