Movin' Right Along

Boy oh! It's pretty near ridiculous to drive from the SE Wisconsin to Kingston, Ontario. Sure, it'd be crazier to attempt to drive to the Kingston in Jamaica, what with the crime, and drugs, and the fact it's on an island and we have a car, not a boat - but the one in Ontario isn't much more reasonable. Especially when one of the drivers hates to drive the mini-van, and the other hates to drive at night. Double especially when you've got an almost potty-trained almost-three year old with you ( I gotta go potty! Oh wait, I don't...). But we did it! Everything went amazingly smoothly. No traffic in Chicago, no trouble at the border, one small, unmarked detour (but the road was on our map). The drive was gray and gloomy, and occassionally rainy, sure. But it's over now, the sun is shining (already?!?) and it's time to find a Canadian grocery store and dig me some regional snack foods. (Hey, we all have our passions, no?)
