Paternity Log 3.1 - great day, cookies, etc.

Long day today. The Boy was great, taking long naps, smiling a lot, laughing at my geek jokes (Q. What do you get when you cross an elephant with a grape? A. Elephant Grape sine of Theta), and generally being pleasant company.

I decided to take advantage of today's long naps and make the sugar cookies for The Girl's friend birthday party this weekend. The cookies are an attempt to replace the inevitable bags of crappy nonsense that are invariably sent home from these parties. At least you can eat cookies. That's the end result at right. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, especially the sugar cookie monarch butterflies. Those were fun to make, too, partially because I got to use Wilson concentrated food dyes for the first time. Great intense colors, dontcha think? Now I want more.

Upcoming topics I'll likely never get around to:
- Heroes: Tatoos on mirror girl, unaccented badass future Hiro, white-eyed painter and more!
- theshow with zefrank: hmmm... I oughta sponsor this... how much, though?
- lonelygirl15: as Viola Zupa pointed out, willing suspension of disbelief is hanging by a well-frayed thread about now. I mean, Christ! Who in the hell would post a video of themselves breaking into someone's apartment? Especially after finding out that person has surveilance photos of you on their computer. Sigh. I wish they'd just sacrifice the both of them and be done with it.

I'm personally intrigued by the white-eyed Peter in the preview! Seems you were right about his power. And badass Hiro was cool. I was totally waiting for him to show up in that scene, but I didn't expect that!

Those cookies look great! This is my first time checking out the blog in a while and I like that you're giving daily updates. I dreamed last night (why I dream about work still is troubling me) that you were back at work today cause you couldn't handle being at home with TB any longer. Thought you might enjoy that one! Hope TB keeps behaving for you!

Maybe we should have you make the cakes (or cookies) for birthdays... you've shown good talent!! Heroes left my husband clueless... that's what you get for not watching every week!!
