October Snow!

Right now, it's snowing hard enough in Lake County Illinois that the cars and trees are beginning to get covered! Sledding in October? Sounds good to me! (Jealous, poppgrrl?)

Ah, it's so nice to be living in Florida today, especially when I see you have snow already. In Tampa, it's sunny and warm with a high of 85 degrees. Can't beat that.

Ugh! 85 and humid? I'd rather live in a state that has giant cockroaches... Oh wait, Florida has those, too! You lucky guy!

Hot and humid with a side of giant bugs. F' that. I'll take the cold any day. You can always put more clothes on but you can only take so much off.

At least, that's what HR keeps telling me.

Tegeuhfh - bohemian surname. Josip Tegeuhfh was a painter, famous for his cow-pie still lives.

Hmmm, let me see. Yesterday, it was a brisk 65 with NO humidity and beautiful blue skies with just enough puffy white clouds to keep the sun from being too hot. Perfect weather to be at Grover's school to help with their field day type fundraiser. And today looks to be a repeat with only slightly higher temperatures. Perfect weather to watch Grover play soccer, then head over to the UNC football game. Similar weather is predicted for tomorrow, when we plan to go to the NC State Fair. Jealous? I think not.

"bekiz" - street slang for "because" (e.g., "I shizoot peeps bekiz I can").

Talk to me in July, when the second you walk outside your face melts off. True this is the perfect time of year in NC but rewind 3 or 4 weeks and it was like that here. No place is perfect all the time. Hot/humid and icy cold are two down sides of the weather. Given the choice I'll take the cold. Just my $0.02

Yes, the melting face phenomenon (doo doo de doo doo) is a drawback to living here, according to some. But it must not be too bad since the Yankees keep moving down here in droves and overpopulating our school systems. The schools (not the weather) and TH's job are major reasons we are contemplating a move to MN. So watch out, someday soon I might just make the 5-hr drive to nail your ass with a snowball. :)

"dlftitz" - from the Dutch, meaning large breasted. Hey, just what kind of show are they running here, Fishmonger?
