sick to my stomach

Suddenly, as if I've been writing it again and again for hours, that phrase looks wrong to me. I feel it, that nauseous, exhausted, just want to go to sleep and wake up well feeling, but the phrase seems wrong. If I'm sick to my stomach, where am I sick from? And why do I always want to write stomache, as if it were some sort of stomach ache contraction. And I find I can't recall what a stomach ache feels like. I've felt sick to my stomach many times, but I can't remember a stomach ache. Must've had one, right? An ache in my stomach... Nope, nothing coming up from the search term. Well, 8:10, feeling like pease porridge cold, I think I'll brush my teeth and crawl into bed with 'the Master and Margarita'. Boy, that sounds kinda... improper? Ill advised? (I'll advise you, I feel ill, for I fell ill.) Except I keep saying 'The Master and the Margarita' anyway. That was when Buffy really jumped the shark - when the master opened that Mexican theme bar. What were they thinking?
