Pat at Keep the Coffee Coming has a track up today that's just a fascinating listen. It's the original recorded version of the song we now know as "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". Apparently, the song actually originated with the Zulus. She posted another version earlier this week, this one by the Tokens. They're the reason we all know about the song, as they were the first to hit big with the song in the early 60's.
As I've said before, I just love Pat's damn blog. I just can't keep away!
