In today's Washington Times...

Bruce Fein sums things up nicely:

President Bush presents a clear and present danger to the rule of law. He cannot be trusted to conduct the war against global terrorism with a decent respect for civil liberties and checks against executive abuses.

Yeah, I gotta agree. The man is out of control, not to mention incredibly short-sighted. He can't really think that he's the only one who will be allowed to wield this sort of power, can he? Has he given any thought to what will happen when someone else takes office? For instance, what if the next President decides that Mr. Bush is likely a member of a terrorist cell? Will then ex-president Bush be completely comfortable with having his phones tapped until the 'evidence' thus gathered reaches a level where the new President decides to have him shipped to an undisclosed location for questioning and torture while awaiting a trial that may never come? Of course, if Bush manages to consolidate much more power, he may never leave office at all. We may end up with President for Life George Bush.

Clinton lied under oath. Impeachable? Yes, in my opinion.
Bush is claiming he is above the power of the other branches of government, and has been ramping up his exercise of police state powers since September of 2001. Impeachable? Certainly. And possibly even Treason. Justices, Senators, Representative and Citizens: stop this man now.
