Not many of us at work today, seeing as it’s Festivus and all. But those of us who have to be here aren’t letting it get us down. Instead, we’re having a little Festivus celebration of our own. Several traditional Festivus treats are featured in our banquet. This includes raw cashews, canned bread (with Honey Walnut cream cheese), Cheesecake pudding, and fortune cookies. Many will, no doubt, be aware of the Festivus tradition that the fortune from the first fortune cookie you open on Festivus will hold true for the coming year. Please also note that we’ve followed the traditional prohibition against bagels on Festivus (Festivus,
yes. Bagels, no.) We also held a prize drawing. Ms. Purple was selected, garnering her a Festivus Prize Pak featuring canned bread, monkey tissues, and mushroom candy. As you can see in the picture of our prize winner, the Festivus Pole is proudly lashed to my cubicle.
