Where did you last find a bargain?
There’s a whole class of things that I think are ridiculous bargains all of the time. Among them…

Medium eggs: what are they? Like 7 cents apiece? Poor little chickens..
Salt: this is how the Roman’s paid their soldiers?!? It’s like a buck a pound! No wonder their civilization fell!
Matches: a box of like 100 packs of matches is something like a buck fifty. Matches are almost cheaper than free.
Dried Beans: If you cook up a bag of dried beans, do you know how long it takes to eat it? 37 meals (feel free to skip beans at breakfast). All for like 90 cents.

And imagine what a feast that would make! Nice pile of salted beans (salted after cooking, of course, lest the beans get tough and unpalatable), topped with a fried egg. Use the matches to light a candle and you’ve got yourself a romantic dinner!
