Father's Day Early
This weekend is a bit crazy, so we decided to celebrate Father's Day on Friday Night. I was sent to the computer room to surf the web while preparations were made. Then, I was presented with a chilled beverage and an envelope labelled "Clue #1".
Clue #1 led to clue #2 and on through Clue #5 which led to my gift. An electric cooler/heater that plugs into my cigarette lighter! Frosty beverages will henceforth be on the menu for my drive home! Appetizers follwed the treasure hunt: velveeta and salsa dip with tortilla chips (at my request). Then, brats with kraut, grilled baby potatoes, and tomatoes layered with basil and fresh mozzarella. For desert, the pound cake The Wife and Kid had made the previous night was sliced, toasted and served with coffee ice cream and hot fudge sauce. Insert contented sigh here. The Kid even finally agreed to watch Star Wars, but fell asleep about 30 minutes in.
