Father's day cookout

Sunday was a cookout at the parents house. Here's a little pic of The Kid and her two first cousins (a third is scheduled to arrive today, my first niece!).

My web prowess was confirmed when I managed to use the web to help me identify a tree in Mom and Dad's yard. (Thumps chest - see me, mighty tree-identifier, you fear me now, yes!) Turns out it was a mulberry of some sort, probably male, as it never seems to fruit. The kicker was that when I broke a stem, it showed silky fibers tufting out of the broken end. The info you can find on the web... Incidentally, a very helpful site for tree ID that I stumbled across: National Arbor Day Foundation's Tree Identifier It didn't give me a final answer, because I'm not really sure what a petiole is, but it got me into the right area.
